Yesterday I watched men’s figure skating competition at 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer. I didn’t expect to like it that much more than contemporary competitions. All skaters are so interesting to watch, and the winners totally deserve their place on the podium (I’m not sure about the order, though). Today’s skaters also have vivid personalities but they don’t have time to express themselves fully, because they need to struggle with complex elements and think about them in between. The last skaters of those g’old days are, in my opinion, Alexei Yagudin and Elena Berezhnaya & Anton Sikharulidze.
